About the exhibition
Juxtaposing Hotz’s near-photographic, technical paintings with Iwasiuk’s more metaphorical and emotional series, these artists contemplate and celebrate the environment and conditions that create connections to place and between people. Notions of kinship, legacy and reciprocity inform both artists’ bodies of work. We respectfully acknowledge that the The Burnaby Arts Council and DLG are located on the unceded territories of the xWmakWayam (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), salilwatat (Tsleil-Waututh), and kWikWaXam (Kwikwetlem) Peoples.
