About the exhibition
Ray Ophoff has spent twenty-five years painting gardens, botanicals, and suburban wilderness in oils from his East Vancouver studio. This exhibition features ten paintings of Swiss chard, developed through a methodical process beginning in July 2025, working from small cropped photographs and building each piece through charcoal drawings, sepia underpaintings, and final oil paintings using a specific palette of pigments.
