About the exhibition
Building on Picha’s Salish Weaving Residency at the Gallery in the summer of 2023, this exhibition features a range of work including carving, sound elements, and a hand-spun, hand-woven Salish blanket. Picha invited mentors, friends, colleagues, family, and people important in her life to contribute blanket pins to the collaborative work. Blanket pins are used to hold closed weavings worn in ceremony and as regalia. Personal information is collected for the purpose of following up on your surrey.ca feedback.
