“In my dream, the bedbugs that exposed the ravages of Parkinson’s, HIV, and my spinal issues were now carrying me to the water’s edge.” With this statement overheard in HOST, Zachery Cameron Longboy circles back to the beginning. A dream-like beginning where pulsating bedbugs blend and morph into the birth of galaxies, blood-red maps, and constellations; an ominous parasitic insect moon, rotating, observing, ever-present, ready to bind with its host, beginning its journey of co-dependence and survival.
